The Mandi police seized a total of 7.29 grams of heroin (chitta) in two separate operations across different jurisdictions, strengthening their crackdown on illegal narcotics.
In the first operation, Hemraj, a resident of Padhar tehsil, was apprehended while riding a motorcycle (HP65 A 1753) under Mandi Sadar police station. Authorities recovered 4.53 grams of heroin from him, and a case under the NDPS Act has been registered.
In a second targeted operation, police arrested Sunny, a resident of Kummi under Balh tehsil, recovering 2.76 grams of heroin. A separate NDPS case has been filed at Balh police station.
Investigations are ongoing to trace possible connections and sources of supply for the seized narcotics.
