West Midlands Police have made a new arrest in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Ekrimh Mena’a in Lozells, Birmingham. A 24-year-old man was arrested on May 8 on suspicion of murder in connection with the stabbing death of Ekrimh Mena’a in Hunters Road on September 30, 2024.
The victim, aged 39, was discovered at 12:25 a.m. near the junction of Villa Road, suffering from stab wounds. Despite the police’s ongoing investigation, this latest arrest brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the case to eight.
The police have also appealed for information in an attempt to trace two wanted suspects, Mohamed Mohamoud (aged 25) and Dahir Ali (aged 28). Authorities previously issued an image of Ali, and after further inquiries, have now included Mohamoud in their request for help.
Detectives urge anyone with information to come forward but caution against approaching the suspects directly. The investigation remains ongoing, and the public’s assistance is crucial in bringing justice to Ekrimh Mena’a.
