FLORENCE, SC (WPDE) – A man has been taken into custody following an armed robbery and attempted murder that occurred Monday in Florence, according to Florence County Sheriff T.J. Joye.
The incident took place at a business located in the 3000 block of West Palmetto Street. Sheriff Joye confirmed that a woman suffered serious injuries during the robbery.
Investigators were able to identify and locate the suspect with the help of the Flock camera system, a network of surveillance cameras used to track vehicles.
Deputies arrested the man without incident on Kansas Drive in Florence. Authorities said the suspect’s identity and specific charges would be released Tuesday morning.
