Mahoba Police Arrest Vijay Saini 2 Others for AI-Based Fake Royalty Scam

Mahoba police arrested three fraudsters, including Vijay Saini, for creating and selling fake royalty documents using artificial intelligence (AI). Authorities seized fake mineral documents, laptops, a printer, and Rs1.1 lakh in cash during the bust.

Vijay Saini, who completed an AI course in Mahoba, led the gang operating a counterfeit website mimicking the official mineral department site. The gang issued fake e-transit passes for minerals over an extended period, targeting contractors in the Kabrai police station area.

Police revealed that Saini had planned to hack the mineral department’s online system but was caught before executing the scheme. Along with his two accomplices, Bindadin Kushwaha and Vikas Rajoulia, Saini managed the operation that caused significant government revenue loss.

Mining businessman Ramkishore Singh filed a complaint about losing 10,000 mineral transport documents, prompting an investigation by local police, SWAT, cyber, and surveillance teams. During a raid, authorities recovered 1,206 unprinted transport documents, 1,532 fake royalties, 11 forged security papers, multiple Android phones, and a laptop with over 10,000 folders, now sent for forensic analysis.

Further probes revealed six more gang members were stealing IDs, passwords, and security papers from clerks, tampering with barcode links, and distributing fake documents to contractors to fraudulently claim government payments.

The gang’s AI expertise enabled them to verify forged royalties within minutes, producing convincing counterfeit documents that contractors used in government billing processes. Notices have been issued by the district magistrate to affected executing agencies, and the search for the remaining six suspects continues.
