MADISONVILLE, Ky. – Sean Harvey, a Madisonville resident, was arrested on multiple drug charges after a high-speed chase on Friday. According to the Madisonville Police Department, officers responded to a suspicious vehicle report on Lake Chester Drive.
Upon arrival, officers noticed the vehicle and approached the driver, later identified as Sean Harvey. Police reported that Harvey appeared nervous, sweating, and shaking when asked for his driver’s license and insurance information.
After running a background check, Harvey suddenly sped away, nearly striking the officers. The police report states Harvey was speeding at 75 mph in a 55-mph zone and exhibited erratic driving behavior. He swerved across lanes, failed to signal, and disregarded multiple stop signs.
The chase continued until the vehicle was eventually stopped by spike strips deployed by Dawson Springs Police Department and Kentucky State Police. Harvey was arrested and taken into custody.

Possession of Marijuana
Drug Paraphernalia
Failure to Wear Seat Belt
Reckless Driving
Speeding 20 mph Over the Limit
Failure to Signal Properly
He was booked into the Hopkins County Jail following his arrest.
