The York County Sheriff’s Office arrested Madison White, 25, and Francis Neville IV, 29, following a domestic dispute that escalated into reckless driving involving children. The incident began near east 16th Street and north Iowa Avenue where a verbal and physical altercation occurred between the couple while a child was present. Both left before police arrived.
Shortly after, deputies were called to a disturbance near Road Q and Road 10 where the man was driving with an infant, being followed by the woman with two other children. The two reportedly fought over the infant while in separate vehicles, driving recklessly across southeastern York County. During the chase, White rammed the back of Neville’s vehicle. Both left the scene but were later stopped near Road 5 and Road U.
No injuries were reported. The three children were taken into the care of the Department of Health and Human Services. White faces eight charges including attempted second-degree assault, third-degree domestic assault, child abuse, and willful reckless driving. Neville faces charges of third-degree domestic assault, child abuse, and willful reckless driving.
The sheriff’s office praised law enforcement’s quick response and reminded the public of the severe impact domestic violence has on children caught in the middle.
