Madipakkam Police successfully apprehended three suspects involved in a series of robberies targeting unsuspecting victims.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ajith alias Munusamy (26) of Pozhichalur, Ashok (25) of Chemmenchery, and Sathyapriyan (21) of Madipakkam.
Police launched an investigation following a complaint by Stephenraj (40), who runs a scrap yard in Ramamurthy Nagar. According to the complainant, on Sunday night while closing his shop, he was waylaid by three unknown assailants. The suspects assaulted him and stole Rs3,500 at knifepoint before fleeing the scene.
The police acted swiftly, tracking down and arresting the three suspects. Further investigation is ongoing to determine whether they were involved in additional similar incidents.
