Madanayakanahalli, Karnataka: Police have arrested Siddu alias Nagaraj (32) from Malavalli and Muniraju (49) from Sarakki, JP Nagar, in connection with multiple house theft cases. With their apprehension, a total of three accused have now been arrested.

Authorities recovered 711 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 19.5 lakh in cash, valued at approximately Rs 1.40 crore, linked to 15 separate cases. The arrests were made in connection with a house theft reported on August 8, 2025, in Prakruthi Layout, where the family was away in Tamil Nadu. The burglars had stolen 248 grams of gold.

CCTV footage led police to an unidentified individual on a motorcycle, who was later identified as Swami, an accomplice. Interrogation revealed the involvement of Siddu and Muniraju, with Siddu reportedly pledging stolen gold at finance companies for cash.

Siddu is a habitual offender, active in house burglaries for over 15 years, with 31 cases registered against him. After his release from jail in 2021, he remained off police radar for four years, then teamed up with Muniraju in 2025 to target houses in Madanayakanahalli. Police have detected 13 burglaries in Madanayakanahalli and two in Nelamangala Town police limits linked to this gang.
