PARAGOULD, Ark. — A $20,000 cash-only bond was set Monday for Luke A. Gibson, a 35-year-old Greene County man accused of assaulting a woman who was nine months pregnant, according to the Paragould Police Department.
Gibson was arrested on April 17 following a police investigation and is facing charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member and third-degree domestic battering. Authorities say the assault involved a pregnant woman, elevating the seriousness of the case.
He is currently being held in custody as the legal process continues.
Further court proceedings are pending. The Paragould Police Department has not released additional details about the incident to protect the privacy of the victim.
