ONSLOW COUNTY, NC — A Jacksonville man is behind bars after being charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses.
Luis Ramirez Suarez, 21, was arrested on January 24 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, according to arrest records. Authorities say he was found in possession of 9.1 grams of cocaine and intended to sell the substance.
Ramirez Suarez faces charges including felony possession of cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, and possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.
In addition to the drug charges, he is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed firearm. Investigators report he was carrying a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .40-caliber handgun while off his own property.
Ramirez Suarez is being held at the Onslow County Jail under a secured bond, and his court appearance is pending.
