Ludhiana Police Arrest Four Drug Peddlers Including Iqbal Singh and Others

Narcotics seized from multiple locations in Ludhiana crackdown

In a significant move against drug trafficking, Ludhiana police apprehended four drug peddlers in separate operations across the city. The arrests were made during routine patrols and targeted searches in various localities.

ASI Sukhwinder Singh of the Sadar police station stated that a suspicious individual was spotted in Janta Colony, Gill village. Upon stopping him for questioning, the suspect was identified as Iqbal Singh, alias Pala, from Bachittar Nagar. A search led to the recovery of five grams of heroin from his possession.

In another case, Daba police arrested Jashandeep Singh from Basant Nagar after finding 50 narcotic pills on him near Daba Lohara Road, Lohara Colony, according to Inspector Rajinder Singh.

Shimlapuri police nabbed Lavjeet Singh, alias Jonty, a resident of Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, near the Dasehra ground wall. They seized 55 grams of heroin during the arrest.

Additionally, the CIA team detained Rohit Kumar, alias Thuthi, from Jawahar Nagar Camp at Ferroze Gandhi Market, recovering 22 grams of narcotic powder.

The police continue their crackdown on drug peddlers to curb the menace in Ludhiana.
