Ludhiana Police Arrest 8 in Snatching & Theft Cases

Seven bikes and valuables recovered from suspects

The Ludhiana Police have arrested eight individuals in connection with multiple snatching and theft incidents across areas under the Ludhiana Commissionerate and police district. Authorities recovered seven two-wheelers and a purse containing cash and valuables from the suspects.

DSP Dakha, Varinder Singh Khosa, stated that the arrests were made under the leadership of Dakha SHO Hamraj Singh. A notorious snatcher, Harwinder Singh of Mullanpur, was apprehended on Thursday. He had reportedly snatched a purse from Jasvir Kaur while she was riding with her husband Surinder Singh on November 21. Harwinder Singh was already booked under at least six other cases.

Investigating officer Balwinder Singh of Ladhowal police station arrested Gagandeep Singh and Balwinder of Maniyewal on Wednesday, recovering three stolen motorcycles from them.

Meanwhile, the Daresi police recovered a stolen motorcycle after arresting Gaurav and Vikas of Bharti Colony. The Tibba police arrested Azir Akhtar and Mohammad Sazim of Gautam Colony with two more stolen motorcycles.

Finally, Sarabjit Singh of Guru Arjun Dev Nagar, Moga, was arrested with a stolen Honda Activa by a team led by Amanpreet Singh from Sarabha Nagar police station.

The police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report thefts promptly to assist in timely recovery of stolen property.
