Lucknow: Lucknow police arrested four men on Monday who were planning to sell 40 quintals of stolen iron rods.
The accused were identified as:
Mewalal Yadav (53)
Akhilesh Kumar (28)
Deepak Yadav (36)
Jaideep Yadav (26)
All are residents of Sheikhpur village in Unnao district.
Additional DCP, North Zone, Rishabh Runwal, said the investigation revealed that the accused intended to transport the stolen iron rods to Sitapur district for sale to buyers dealing in construction materials. Police have registered cases and are continuing the probe to track any further connections in the theft network.
