WYOMING COUNTY, W.Va. — A 20-year-old Ohio man has been sentenced to prison following a drug trafficking conviction in Wyoming County, according to local prosecutors.
Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney Derek Laxton announced that Lucas Alexander Robinson, of Akron, Ohio, was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison after being convicted of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Robinson was arrested in the Lynco area by deputies with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office. During the arrest, investigators recovered oxycodone, fentanyl, and more than $3,000 in cash from the vehicle Robinson was driving.
After sentencing, Robinson was remanded to the West Virginia Division of Corrections to begin serving his prison term. Prosecutors also stated that Robinson has outstanding warrants in Ohio, which remain pending.
The case was investigated by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by the Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
