The Lowe’s on Alkay Drive is no longer tolerating thieves. After a string of thefts, authorities have been reviewing security footage dating back to December 2024, identifying and arresting multiple suspects.

Repeat Offender Donald Brown Arrested for Felony Theft
Detectives identified Donald Brown as one of the culprits. Security cameras caught Brown stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise, making it a felony.

Brown is no stranger to theft, with a lengthy criminal history that includes:

43 prior arrests for theft
9 convictions
SPD tracked Brown down and arrested him for felony theft.

Kenneth McDonald and Girlfriend Caught on Camera
Investigators also identified Kenneth McDonald as another shoplifter from December 2024. He was seen on security footage stealing alongside his girlfriend, Sharla Drerup.

McDonald also has a history of theft, including:

9 prior arrests
2 convictions
SPD arrested McDonald last week, while Drerup was issued a summons for her involvement.

Lowe’s Takes a Stand Against Theft
For years, Lowe’s has been a target for power tool theft, as stolen items can be easily resold. Now, with SPD’s aggressive crackdown, shoplifters are being caught and prosecuted.

SPD continues to review security footage and warns that more arrests could be coming soon.
