BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Two men from Louisville have been arrested in connection with a string of thefts involving tools valued at over $30,000, the Bowling Green Police Department reported.

On November 19, 2025, officers responded to a local store after receiving a report that three men had stolen merchandise. Law enforcement located two of the suspects, 26-year-old Jair Yarasca and 28-year-old Daniel Ortiz-Cataldo, in the store’s parking lot with multiple stolen tools in their possession.

Investigators, working with the store’s loss prevention team, determined that the pair were involved in thefts from two Bowling Green stores as well as multiple stores in Owensboro.

Both Yarasca and Ortiz-Cataldo have been charged with multiple counts of felony shoplifting and engaging in organized crime. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are anticipated.
