Louis Higby Charged with Felony After Domestic Incident

Lee Center Man Arrested for Violating Protection Order

LEE, N.Y. — Louis Higby, 48, of Lee Center, was arrested and charged with felony criminal contempt and harassment following a domestic incident in the Town of Lee.

On July 8, deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the victim confirmed she is a protected party under an active order of protection against Higby.

According to the victim, a verbal dispute escalated into a physical confrontation during which Higby pushed her to the ground, violating the existing order of protection.

Higby was taken into custody and held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
