Los Angeles Man Arrested After Armed Robbery in South Pasadena

Jose Floresolvera, 40, caught after allegedly brandishing a dagger during theft on Garfield Avenue.

SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. (March 17, 2025) – Jose Floresolvera, a 40-year-old Los Angeles resident, was arrested on March 17, 2025, after allegedly committing an armed robbery in the 1700 block of Garfield Avenue in South Pasadena.

At approximately 8:46 P.M., the South Pasadena Police Department received reports of a robbery in which the suspect had brandished a dagger while committing the theft. Officers immediately responded to the scene and conducted a search of the surrounding area.

The suspect was located aboard a Metro bus as he was leaving the scene of the crime. Upon stopping the bus, officers took Floresolvera into custody without incident. They recovered the dagger and the stolen item from his possession.

Floresolvera was booked into the Pasadena City Jail on charges of robbery. The case has been forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
