Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the late-night shooting of entertainer and social media personality Lolita Callendar, known as “Lola Doll.” The arrest was confirmed by Police Headquarters on Sunday, stating the individual is currently in custody and cooperating with the investigation.

The 33-year-old artiste was shot multiple times outside her home at Texas Square, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, on Saturday night. Initial reports reveal she sustained gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg. According to police, the attack occurred while Lola Doll was seated in her car and was reportedly carried out by a man riding a motorcycle.

Emergency responders rushed her to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition. Authorities noted that none of the bullets struck her vital organs. She is expected to undergo several tests before any surgical procedures.

Lola Doll has gained popularity over the years for her bold music, vibrant parties, and outspoken social media presence, amassing a significant following.

Following the shooting, police issued a wanted bulletin for Paul Daby Junior, also known as Randell. Daby Jr.’s last known address is Lot 127 ‘D’ Aguair Park, Georgetown. Notably, he was among four Guyanese sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) earlier this year for drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, police also announced the arrest of another individual linked to the incident, though the person’s identity has not been disclosed. The investigation continues, with no motive yet revealed.
