The Lohian Khas police arrested two heroin smugglers, Manjit Singh (alias Meeta) of Chacha Colony, Lohian Khas, and Azad Singh (alias Sunni) of Dogranwala village, Subhanpur police area, Kapurthala, officials said.
During the arrest, the police recovered 100 grams of heroin and Rs 15,400 in drug money from the accused. A motorcycle and two mobile phones were also seized.
Shahkot DSP Onkar Singh Brar confirmed that a case has been registered against the duo under Sections 21-B, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. Assistant Sub-Inspector Balveer Chand is conducting further investigation into the matter.
