CLARKSTON, WA – A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a crossbow from the Clarkston Walmart earlier this year.
Logan Daniel Dillman was taken into custody on July 4 following an investigation into the March 7 theft of a $239 crossbow. Surveillance footage captured a man wearing a green jacket and red plaid pajama pants leaving the store without paying. The individual matched Dillman’s appearance and was previously trespassed from Walmart in 2021.
Police were already familiar with Dillman due to multiple outstanding warrants and past theft-related incidents. Based on video evidence and prior encounters, authorities obtained probable cause to charge him with second-degree burglary.
Dillman’s arrest occurred after a Clarkston police officer conducted a traffic stop for defective vehicle equipment. The officer recognized Dillman and questioned him. Dillman admitted to stealing the crossbow, claiming he needed money and feared being harmed by others.
He was booked into Asotin County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary and for his existing warrants. His court appearance is pending.
