Sanford Woman Faces Multiple Felony Charges in Card Theft Investigation
SANFORD, N.C. — A 57-year-old Sanford woman is facing a series of felony charges tied to the theft and misuse of a man’s financial cards.
Lisa Piner Watkins, of 2901 Lemon Springs Road, has been charged with 10 felony counts and one misdemeanor in connection to four separate cases involving stolen financial information.
Watkins was first arrested on February 5 and released on bond February 11. Authorities say those charges stemmed from three initial cases of card misuse. She was arrested again on March 29 following a fourth case, and posted bond on April 2.
Officials have not released further details about the total amount stolen or the identity of the victim. The investigations are ongoing.
