After a four-month investigation, the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) has arrested 26-year-old Liqueonte Jones on multiple drug-related charges.
On May 15, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Lullwater Drive, where they discovered a substantial amount of narcotics, including:
210 grams of methamphetamine
72 grams of cocaine
426 grams of marijuana
Jones was charged with a range of felony offenses, including:
Trafficking in methamphetamine
Trafficking in cocaine
Felony possession of marijuana
Manufacture of a Schedule II controlled substance
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver (PWIMSD) a Schedule II substance
Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Authorities confirmed that Jones was already on parole for a prior drug trafficking conviction at the time of his arrest. He was also served with a parole violation and is currently being held without bond at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
WPD says the investigation is ongoing and may lead to additional charges.
