Linwood Lyons Arrested in Rocky Mount Drug Bust

Man charged with multiple drug offenses after investigation

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A Rocky Mount man faces multiple charges following a two-month drug investigation, authorities said.

Linwood Lyons, 59, was arrested after officers conducted a search of a home on the 400 block of North Mercer Street.

Police say the investigation into Lyons began in November, and yesterday’s search yielded 8.8 ounces of cocaine, 22.4 ounces of marijuana, and 79 dosage units of oxycodone.

Lyons faces several charges, including:

Trafficking opioids

Trafficking cocaine

Possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine

Manufacturing crack cocaine

Possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana

Maintaining a dwelling for selling controlled substances

Possession of drug paraphernalia

He was booked into the Nash County Jail under a $137,000 secured bond.
