in a major anti-narcotics operation, the Avalahalli police arrested a 30-year-old Liberian national, identified as Coundeh Prince, for allegedly peddling drugs in Bengaluru.

Prince, who came to India on a business visa, had reportedly overstayed and was living in a rented house at Bidarahalli in Avalahalli. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided his residence and seized 537 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately Rs1.07 crore in the illegal market.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, a software engineer by profession, was running a drug distribution racket catering to local buyers. Authorities are now verifying his immigration status and investigating potential international links to the supply network.

Police have registered a case under the NDPS Act, and further investigations are underway to trace other individuals connected to the drug syndicate.
