Levi Williams Jailed for Firearm Possession and Breaching Order

Coventry man caught with revolver and ammo during raid

by Amelia Crawford

Levi Williams, 36, has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison after a gun was discovered in his possession during a police raid in Coventry.

Officers conducted the raid at a property on Heera Close, which had been shut down by a closure order due to concerns over anti-social behaviour, drug dealing, and cuckooing. While executing the search, Williams was found inside and a revolver with live ammunition was located hidden in the waistband of his trousers.

Williams, who has no fixed address, admitted to possession of firearms and violating the closure order. As a result, he was sentenced at court for his involvement in illegal activities.

The closure order, which had been issued in March, banned the public from entering the property due to its association with criminal behaviour.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Jobson from West Midlands Police stated: “Firearms have no place on the streets, and we will continue to locate and apprehend anyone who believes they can possess one.”
