FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — Two women have been arrested in Allen and Marion counties for allegedly recruiting a child for sex trafficking, according to Indiana State Police (ISP).
On February 20, state police, in collaboration with the FBI and Bluffton Police Department, executed a search warrant at a Franklin Avenue residence in Fort Wayne. During the search, officers discovered another victim of human trafficking, who was under 12 years old. The child was provided with medical care and support services before cooperating with investigators.
Authorities identified Leticia Granados, 21, and Harley Cooley, 20, as suspects in online child solicitation. Investigators believe that additional victims may be involved. The child, who was reported missing by family members, has since been reunited with loved ones.
State police continue to search for more victims. Anyone with information regarding Granados and Cooley’s involvement in human trafficking is urged to contact the ISP Fort Wayne Post at 260-432-8661.
During the raid, officers also discovered suspected fentanyl at the residence.
Both women have been arrested and charged with sex trafficking. Additionally, Granados faces charges of child exploitation for her involvement with a victim under 12 years old.
