Leshawn Thomas, 34, from Clayville, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on Friday after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and cocaine base with the intent to distribute, as well as unlawfully possessing firearms.
As part of his guilty plea, Thomas admitted to possessing approximately 3.01 kilograms of cocaine and 268.14 grams of cocaine base in Oneida County, New York, on or about April 28, 2023. He also acknowledged possessing two loaded semi-automatic pistols during the crime.
In addition to his 10-year prison sentence, Thomas was ordered to serve eight years of supervised release after his incarceration. He was also required to forfeit the firearms involved in the offense.
Thomas had two prior felony convictions, which contributed to his lengthy sentence.
