Two brothers from Mexico, Leonel and Ricardo Chavez, were taken into custody by federal agents on Friday in Norwalk, Connecticut. Video footage reveals officers forcefully pulling Leonel Chavez’s arm while he remains seated in a vehicle, followed by the announcement of his arrest.
In another video recorded by a bystander, Ricardo Chavez is seen attempting to flee from an agent before being tasered, which causes him to collapse to the ground suddenly.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to CNN that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were active in Norwalk during the previous week. However, they did not clarify if ICE was directly responsible for the arrest of the Chavez brothers.
