Leneil Brown Arrested After Pursuit and Drug Discovery in Priceville
A Birmingham man, Leneil Reshawn Brown, was arrested late Tuesday night after leading Priceville Police on a brief pursuit.
Just before 11 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over Brown on I-65 S, but Brown continued driving south. Officials say that during the chase, Brown threw several items from his vehicle before eventually stopping after a mile.
Once stopped, Brown was taken into custody, and a subsequent narcotics field investigation revealed drugs and paraphernalia inside his vehicle. Authorities found psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and drug-related items.
Brown, 26, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal littering. He is currently being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
