The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Arokodare Damil Ebenezer, a 43-year-old Lekki-based businessman and owner of Damillionz Takeout, for allegedly importing 60 parcels of “Loud”, a potent strain of cannabis, from the United States into Nigeria.

The arrest took place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Bay Lounge on Admiralty Way, Lekki, where Ebenezer was reportedly waiting for the delivery of a fresh drug shipment. His arrest followed the interception of a cargo containing seven large cartons of the narcotic at a Lagos-based logistics company on March 12, according to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi.

Following the arrest, NDLEA operatives searched Ebenezer’s Lekki residence, recovering an additional 94 grams of Loud, cannabis crushers, and drug paraphernalia—bringing the total drug weight seized from him to 32.24 kilograms. Ebenezer admitted during interrogation that he started the illegal drug trade in 2017.

Skunk was also seized from Baraka’s residence.

Meanwhile, in Edo State, NDLEA operatives destroyed 13,198kg of cannabis sativa and seized 158kg during raids from March 24 to 28 in forested areas of Ovia North East, Owan West, and Igueben LGAs.

In Niger State, officers intercepted a Toyota Corolla carrying 179 blocks of skunk (77.6kg) along Mokwa-Jebba road, leading to the arrest of Paul Christopher (46) and Lucky Star Anumie. A separate raid in Wawa village uncovered 50kg of skunk from the home of a fleeing suspect, Isa Iliya.
