Fort Walton Beach – A Fort Walton Beach Police Department pursuit ended with the arrest of Lekendrick Ingram after a foot chase and the seizure of significant amounts of narcotics.
Officers attempted to stop Ingram on Holmes Boulevard Northwest on March 8 for a traffic violation. He refused to stop, drove through yards, and turned onto Robinwood Drive Southwest, damaging a cement mailbox.
Ingram abandoned the vehicle on Leila Place Northwest and fled on foot, jumping a fence into a backyard. Officers surrounded the home and located him hiding.
Near his hiding spot, police discovered a modified “409” cleaning spray can containing multiple plastic bags of suspected narcotics. Authorities seized approximately 54.1 grams of cocaine, 56.9 grams of methamphetamine, 7.3 grams of fentanyl, 11 oxycodone pills, and $5,983 in cash.
Ingram faces multiple charges, including trafficking in fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, and resisting arrest without violence.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fort Walton Beach Police Department or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers.
