by Sophia Bennett

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in locating Kevin Horton, a 55-year-old man from Lehigh Acres, who is accused of violating probation related to theft and uttering forged checks. Horton reportedly failed to appear in court after an arrest for stealing a check from his former roommate and making it payable to cash for a few hundred dollars. He then deposited the forged check into his own account.

Horton had previously been incarcerated in Broward County on other charges and later served time in prison. Upon his release, he was charged locally in connection with the theft.

Authorities describe Horton as being 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, and potentially using aliases such as Nico Horton or Shawn Townsend to avoid capture. An arrest warrant has been issued for his failure to appear in court.
