MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — On July 8, Leardio Dante Rice, 48, pleaded guilty and was sentenced for drug-related charges, according to Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson.

Rice admitted to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, and trafficking methamphetamines.

Circuit Court Judge H.S. DeBerry sentenced Rice to 10 years for each charge, with the sentences running at the same time.

“These are serious charges that do not allow for early parole,” said Richardson. Rice must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he can be considered for parole.

The charges come from two separate cases filed by the Horry County Police Department in 2022 involving Rice.
