MARSHALL, Texas — A federal drug investigation led to the arrest of a Marshall man and the seizure of dozens of firearms and a large quantity of methamphetamine, authorities said.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, a multi-agency task force raided a residence Tuesday in the 5000 block of West FM 2625 while searching for 63-year-old Lawrence Siford of Marshall. Siford was wanted on three federal warrants related to drug and firearms offenses.
Officials said the warrants followed a lengthy investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in coordination with the Joint Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force.
During the raid, investigators seized 29 firearms, several of which were reported stolen, along with approximately 280 grams of methamphetamine.
Authorities did not release additional details regarding potential charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
