Lauren Rutledge, Ricky Blackwell Busted in Drug Trafficking

64g of fentanyl, 60g meth seized in Oakwood motel raid

OAKWOOD, GA – Two Oakwood residents were arrested after a drug raid at the Jameson Inn on Thurmon Tanner Parkway uncovered a significant stash of narcotics.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Lauren Rutledge, 32, and Ricky Lee Blackwell, 39, were taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after Lanier Drug Task Force investigators executed a search warrant on a motel room.

Authorities recovered:

64 grams of fentanyl

60 grams of methamphetamine

The drugs have an estimated street value of $15,515.

Both Rutledge and Blackwell were charged with trafficking fentanyl and trafficking methamphetamine. They were transported to the Hall County Jail and are currently being held without bond.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the sheriff’s office and task force to combat narcotics distribution in the region.
