DUNCAN, S.C. — Two women wanted in connection with a homicide at a hotel in Duncan, South Carolina, have been arrested in Pennsylvania, authorities confirm.
According to the Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police, officers located a stolen vehicle from Charlotte parked at a Quality Inn just after 1 p.m. Monday. The car was unoccupied, but further investigation led officers to Latesha Fields and Payton Deal, who were found nearby.
Both women were later identified as suspects in the April 18 homicide of 38-year-old Alexander Casull, who was discovered dead at the WoodSpring Suites Hotel on Frontage Road in Duncan.
Fields and Deal were denied bond in Pennsylvania and are expected to face extradition.
Originally, Duncan police named the women as persons of interest before confirming their involvement following the arrests.
