Larry Hernandez Sentenced to Life for Murdering His Daughter’s Boyfriend
Larry Hernandez, convicted of murdering his daughter’s boyfriend, Ron Quadri, in 2023, has been sentenced to life in prison.
A jury found Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder on Friday, following a violent incident that occurred on August 13, 2023. The altercation stemmed from a burglary involving Hernandez’s daughter, Gabriella, and Quadri’s apartment. Quadri had reported to police and his mother that his girlfriend and Hernandez had stolen $10,000 and his dog.
Days after the burglary, Hernandez and Quadri got into a heated argument. Prosecutors argued that Hernandez shot Quadri in the confrontation, then loaded his body into Quadri’s car, leaving it abandoned in a South Side parking lot. His body was discovered two days later.
Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales stated, “The vicious act of taking a life, especially one that shatters a family’s world, cannot be justified. Justice has been served today, not only for Mr. Quadri and his family but for the community that deserves to feel safe.”
In addition to his life sentence, Hernandez received 50 years for a second charge. He will serve his time with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
