VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Four individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a suspected human trafficking operation that involved six victims, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) announced on Monday.
According to police, three of the suspects are from the Hampton Roads area and one is from South Carolina. The arrests followed a local investigation that uncovered trafficking activity crossing state lines.
The suspects and their charges are:
Larry Fulgham (39, Suffolk): Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Pandering Prostitution, Use of a Vehicle to Promote Prostitution, and Driving on a Suspended License.
Tammy Brown (24, South Carolina): Charged with Prostitution.
Labrint Brown (37, Norfolk): Charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Aiding Prostitution, and Sex Trafficking.
Marissa Pressley (24, Norfolk): Charged with Aiding Prostitution, Use of a Vehicle to Promote Prostitution, Sex Trafficking, and Driving on a Suspended License.
VBPD’s Human Trafficking Squad gathered intelligence suggesting out-of-state trafficking activity, which has now been referred to federal law enforcement for further investigation.
