RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A Cybertip investigation involving the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has led to the arrest of Landon Keith McDaniel, 44, authorities said.
According to officials, the Invictus Task Force launched the investigation in November 2025 after receiving the Cybertip. The investigation ultimately identified McDaniel as a suspect.
On Jan. 9, 2026, members of the Invictus Task Force, with assistance from the Randleman Police Department, executed a search warrant and took McDaniel into custody. He was charged with 10 counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
McDaniel was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where a magistrate issued a $100,000 secured bond. Court records show his first appearance in Randolph County District Court is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information related to the case to contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office or representatives of the Invictus Task Force.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and McDaniel is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
