Quincy, MA — Lalance Smith, 35, was found guilty of fatally shooting Arnold Woodrum, 59, of Dorchester, in a violent incident in June 2019. Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office confirmed the conviction, which included charges of armed robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition, and possession of a loaded firearm.

Smith’s conviction stems from a robbery and shooting that led to Woodrum’s death. Smith was arrested following the incident and faced multiple serious charges.

Additionally, Kiniya Lee, 40, who was involved in the crime, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four to six years in state prison for her role in the incident.

Smith is expected to face sentencing at a later date.
