Lajaye Coleman Arrested for Kidnapping Two Children in Oklahoma City
A woman identified as Lajaye Coleman has been arrested in Oklahoma City after allegedly kidnapping two children during a violent home invasion.
According to Oklahoma City Police, the incident occurred Tuesday night near Northeast 16th Street and North Martin Luther King Avenue. Coleman is accused of forcing her way into a residence, where she allegedly pistol-whipped a woman inside.
Court records indicate that Coleman, along with three unidentified accomplices, then abducted two children from the home and fled the scene.
Police were able to track the suspects to a nearby residence, where both children were found safe.
Coleman is currently facing burglary and kidnapping charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
