ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. — A Sylacauga man is in custody following a fatal shooting in Alexander City on May 26.
Officers responded to a call in the 400 block of Oak Street West and found Anthony Darnell Mack, Jr., of Alexander City, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Mack was rushed to Russell Medical Center but later died from his injuries.
Court records reveal that 23-year-old Lajavious Davon Stone intentionally caused Mack’s death by shooting him six times.
Stone has been charged with murder and is currently being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail.
