Lairen Molzahn Arrested for Grand Theft in El Mirage Incident

Second suspect remains at large after property disturbance

EL MIRAGE, Calif. — On Sunday, July 13, 2025, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested 38-year-old Victorville resident Lairen Molzahn on charges of grand theft following a reported property disturbance in El Mirage. A second male suspect involved in the incident remains unidentified and at large.

The call came in at approximately 6:29 p.m. near Sheep Creek Road and El Mirage Road, where deputies responded to reports of an assault. According to Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station, Molzahn and an unknown male were attempting to make a U-turn on private property when the owner arrived and displayed a firearm, suspecting theft.

Investigators confirmed that Molzahn and the male accomplice were stealing items from the property. Although it was reported that the owner fired a gun during the incident, deputies found no evidence of gunfire during their investigation.

Molzahn was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center. The second suspect fled before deputies arrived and has yet to be identified.
