POULSBO, WA — Deputies from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Laird Dinsmore, 35, a person of interest in the murder of a 50-year-old man found dead outside his home on Big Valley Road Northeast on Saturday.

Authorities launched a search for Dinsmore following the discovery of the victim’s body, which prompted a homicide investigation. On Tuesday, the manhunt intensified after gunfire was reported in the Snider Park area—though not fired by law enforcement.

Deputies moved in and successfully took Dinsmore into custody. He is currently receiving medical evaluation and will be booked into the Kitsap County Jail upon clearance.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been publicly released, and officials have not confirmed whether Dinsmore is facing charges at this time. Investigators continue to gather evidence and determine Dinsmore’s role in the killing.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information related to the case to contact them directly.
