Two men, Yemi Aparaojo (33), also known as Asa, and Samuel Adekunle (37), alias Omo-jo–Ibo, have been arrested by the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for their alleged involvement in traffic robberies around Ketu, Mile 12, and Kosofe.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday morning after a victim, who was robbed of ₦25,000 by the gang last week, identified Adekunle near the area and alerted police. The victim had been approached and assaulted by the gang while attempting to help them.
Police confirmed that two other gang members are still at large, having fled through Ketu Market during the arrest operation.
CSP Sola Jejeloye, RRS Commander, stated that the arrests followed a directive from Lagos Police Commissioner CP Moshood Jimoh to boost security on vulnerable traffic routes. The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court following the completion of investigations.
Law enforcement officers remain on the hunt for the remaining gang members to ensure the safety of commuters in the region.
