Just one mile away, on February 16 at 2:51 p.m., another road rage confrontation led to a shooting at the intersection of Sagamore Parkway North and Schuyler Avenue. Police apprehended 20-year-old Tristen Clements in connection with the shooting.

Both men have been charged with multiple offenses, including:

Attempted aggravated battery

Additionally, Halderson faces a charge of false informing.

Lafayette police urge drivers to remain calm and report any aggressive behavior to authorities, rather than resorting to violence.
