A man accused of a violent family attack on Father’s Day is now in custody. Kywaun Washington was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, for allegedly shooting his father and two brothers after reportedly luring them together to carry out the attack.
Tulsa police received a tip identifying Washington as the suspected shooter. Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 5 p.m., where they found two of the victims with gunshot wounds. A third victim, in critical condition, was later dropped off at OSU Medical Center. Fortunately, all three men are now in stable condition.
According to the affidavit, one of the victims identified Washington as the shooter, though others present could not confirm. Investigators say a black Jeep Compass was stolen from the scene and later spotted using license plate-reading cameras, which led authorities to a hotel in San Antonio, where Washington was apprehended.
Police continue to investigate the motive behind the shooting, which has shocked the local community due to the alleged targeting of close family members on a day meant to celebrate fatherhood.
