Kyle Teens Arrested in Stolen Firearms and Fraud Case

Three Arrested After Traffic Stop Uncovers Major Crimes

KYLE, Texas — Three teenagers were arrested Wednesday in Kyle after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of stolen firearms, vehicles, and fraud-related property.

The suspects—18-year-old Nathaniel Montalvo of Kyle, 17-year-old Eduardo De Jesus Ramirez of Austin, and 17-year-old Jorge Sanchez of Manor—admitted during questioning to involvement in multiple crimes, including the theft of firearms and vehicles in the Spicewood area the night before.

Officers recovered a significant amount of stolen and fraudulent property, including 14 stolen credit cards, three stolen checks, and two driver’s licenses tied to five victims. Multiple alcohol bottles and THC vape pens in distributable amounts were also found in the vehicle.

Montalvo faces charges including Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information, Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Evading Arrest or Detention.

Sanchez was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information, Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Prohibited Weapon.

De Jesus Ramirez faces charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

The Kyle Police Department is assisting the Travis County Sheriff’s Office with the ongoing investigation into the Spicewood-area incidents.
