BANGOR, Maine — A Corinth man was arrested Wednesday following a domestic violence investigation in Penobscot County, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a residence in Corinth around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a domestic assault. Following an on-site investigation, authorities said they established probable cause to charge 28-year-old Kyle Ouellette with two counts of domestic violence aggravated assault, both classified as Class B felonies. He also faces one count of obstructing the report of a crime or injury, a Class D misdemeanor.
Officials said Ouellette left the residence before deputies arrived. Over the next 24 hours, patrol deputies followed investigative leads and ultimately located him at a hotel in Bangor, where he was arrested without incident on Wednesday.
The adult female victim was treated at a local hospital for injuries sustained during the alleged assault, authorities confirmed.
Ouellette was transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he is being held while awaiting his initial court appearance.
